Erzurum 2010 Homestay Project

Let the world be their classroom! Help us bring another 8 students from Bilkent’s Erzurum High School this year to the U.S. for a homestay week with their big brothers and sisters from Bilkent. They will be hosted by Bilkent alumni living in the New York area, and will get an educational experience far beyond what classroom lessons can teach them. Our goal this year is to raise the full $20,000 for their trip. Please help us reach it! The thermometer is updated every few days.

Below, the visiting Erzurum high school students from the last trip in February 2009 are waving from the front steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, where they took notes on different exhibits and then walked around Central Park. These students had an experience that changed their outlook on life, opened doors of opportunity, and helped them see beyond the borders of their classrooms in Erzurum.
